Louisa Blood received her Master of Music degree in violin performance from New England Conservatory, and Bachelor of Music from the Peabody Conservatory of Johns Hopkins University. Her teachers have included Lucy Chapman and Violaine Melancon. She performs with the South Bend Symphony and the Grand Rapids Symphony, and has been a regular member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago. She has also performed with the New World Symphony, Fifth House Ensemble, International Chamber Artists, and Advent Chamber Orchestra. Additional experience includes festivals such as the Tanglewood Music Center, the Castleton Festival Orchestra, National Orchestral Institute, and the Domaine Forget chamber music festival.
Louisa has completed Suzuki Teacher Training courses, she has experience teaching students of all ages and levels, and has also coached students in the Chicago Youth Debut Orchestra.
