Any lessons missed due to non-payment are forfeited and not eligible for a refund or a makeup.

  • Child students are required to register for a minimum of 2 fewer than the remaining lessons in the session. Example: There are 17 weeks in both Fall & Winter/Spring Sessions - child students are required to register for between 15-17 lessons for the session.

  • Adult students are required to register for a minimum of half of the remaining lessons in the session. Example: There are 17 weeks i both Fall & Winter/Spring Sessions - adult students are required to register for between 8-17 lessons for the session.

  • There is one payment plan available: 50% deposit due before lessons begin, and the remaining 50% will be divided equally over 3 months (during Fall & Winter/Spring Session) and divided equally over 2 months for Summer session.

  • If a student is experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19, has been exposed so an individual who tested positive for COVID-19, or is feeling ill in any way, the student may not attend their in-person lesson. If a student cancels due to illness, they may opt to have their lesson remotely during their scheduled time or reschedule at a mutually convenient time. Please review all COVID-19 policies here.

  • A student is allowed (1) absence per session with at least a 24-hour notice, which may be rescheduled by the teacher at a mutually convenient time. Any lesson cancelled with less than a 24-hour notice or no notice at all will be forfeited.

  • All students are expected to attend all scheduled lessons during the session. There are no refunds for forfeited lessons.

  • If a teacher needs to cancel a lesson, either the lesson will be rescheduled at a mutually convenient time or the student will be credited in a future session.

  • The Musical Offering is not responsible for childcare before or after a lesson.

  • Teachers have been given the option to teach remotely, on-site or a mix of both during the pandemic. We encourage you to talk to your teacher about their preference PRIOR to registering. Students will not be able to transfer to a new teacher mid session if they want to switch from remote to on-site lessons. For example, if you registered for 17 lessons with your teacher who is teaching remotely, you can't transfer your lessons at any point to an on-site teacher. You will be held accountable for all 17 remote lessons, and any missed will be forfeited without a refund. If you are interested in adding on additional lessons on-site with a teacher, you will need to register with your current teacher, and email operations@themusicaloffering.org to also be placed with an available on-site teacher for add on lessons.

  • In the event that a remote lesson cannot be completed (due to lack of technology or any similar factor), scheduling makeup lessons will be an option if your teacher opts to teach on-site during a future session, OR your teacher may put you in touch with an on-site teacher (if available) to complete the lesson. In the event that all options have been exhausted, including remote lessons and makeup lesson scheduling, we may consider cancelling only lessons that were initially offered remotely. Students will not be able to receive a refund for lessons that are fully available on-site.
